2008 Holiday Vacation

I just had the longest winter vacation during my whole life! We went to MSC Lrica east caribbean cruise over the Christmas weekend. Before we got on cruise, we also spent two days in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Look at the picture of me holding the little gator beneath.That was at Gator Park. After the cruise, we went to Disney and Universal Studios in Orlando. The vacation was so fun that I will never forget it!

My First Chess Tournament

On March 8 2008, I went to the PA State Scholastic K-3 open chess tournament in Carlisle. This was my first chess tournament! Out of five games, I lost three and won two. I got my official USCF rating now, which is 230! I think I can do better next time. But if you want to win, you have to practice. Tons of people came to the tournament. My brother played in K-6 open session. He won the 7th place throphy. I made a friend. She is very nice. My family planned to stayed in the very same hotel as the tournament, but the rooms were flooded because of the heavy rain. So we had to go to the Holiday Inn next door. Holiday Inn wasn't bad. The bed were so comfy and the pillows were so soft and cuddly. We had a great time at Carlisle.

Snow Day

There is lots of snow falling around.

Building snowmen riding sleighs.
Snow melts.
Hot sun.
Bringing spring for everyone.
